What We Believe
We believe in one loving, holy, mighty God who lives eternally in three persons, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
We believe that both Old and New Testament scriptures are the inspired word of God and that they speak powerfully and meaningfully into our lives today.
We believe that Jesus Christ is God’s Son, that He was born of the virgin Mary, that He was truly divine but also truly human, yet without any sin at all.
We believe that His sacrifice through death on the cross paid the price for our sin and made it possible for our broken relationship with God to be restored. Followers of Jesus are therefore amazingly saved by the grace of God because Jesus died and rose again.
We believe that, while every human being carries on forever after they die, faith in Jesus is the only way to be sure of spending eternity rejoicing with Him.
We believe that after His death and resurrection, Jesus returned to heaven to be with His Father and that He will return to earth one day soon. Meanwhile, Jesus did not leave us alone. He sent the Holy Spirit to be with us and He is the One who gives power for living, spiritual gifts, guidance and comfort here on earth.
We believe that the Church is here to represent Jesus on earth today. We are here to worship Him and preach the gospel (the good news about Jesus) to everyone. We want to connect people with Jesus, because this is what Jesus told us to do.
Thinking of Becoming a Christian?
A Christian is a person who follows Jesus Christ and His example and who has been ‘saved’ by Him.
