Life Groups are at the heart of the life of our church and they are the way that we make a big church feel small! With a Sunday morning congregation of around 250-300 people, it can be difficult to get to know one another and so Life Groups provide a place where we can develop closer, more meaningful friendships, pray for each other and receive pastoral care when we need it. Life Groups also represent our Church in the community and give us chance to interact with our neighbours and others who live around us.
What Happens at a Life Group?
We meet up and simply ‘do life’ together, supporting one another whatever the circumstances. Life Groups generally meet on a weekly basis, (usually a Tuesday or Wednesday) often in the home of the group leader. We study the Bible, pray, worship, laugh and generally encourage each other in our daily lives – usually over coffee, cake and biscuits! We believe that real learning and growth is more likely to take place in a small group than anywhere else. Jesus also seemed to think so!
People are welcome to attend any group they like and we have a large number of groups meeting all over the Teesside area.
